for board re port at same time y m c a speaker william j berow of new york will address the sunday evening meeting of the y m c a mj berow is a young man of very attractive person ality and at the colleges where he has spoken yale and annapolis for example he has always left a pleas ant impression attendance at this meeting will be well repaid smoker the smoker to be given to the freshmen by the sophomores on fri day evening in the gym bids fair to be quite a success the committee on arrangements has prepared an ex cellent program this program with possibly slight additions will consist of two boxing bcuts between well known local pugilists gymnastic stunts by former gym instructor clark and his assist ant a wrestling match between two sophomores and various musical se lections by a double quartet the banjo and guitar clubs two prominent members of the alumni have consented to attend and give short addresses there will also be an abundant sup ply of pipes and tobacco it is hoped that every freshman will take ad vantage of this invitation to spend i social evening with the feophomores the main object of the smoker is to give the two lower classes an oppor tunity to become better acquainted and since only sophomores and freshmen will be present it affords the best opportunity for doing so see the team off the football team leaves the c r r of n j station at 20 this even ing for harrisburg where it will spend the night and then go on to carlisle in the morning it is the duty of every man in college to be there and help give the team all pos sible encouragement for the 1-2 in tall he filled the position of half-back at george school and is now trying for the same position on the varsity n c schaffer 08 is 23 years oul weighs 149 lbs and is 5 ft 5 in tall he came to college from shamokin ! high school where he played end j and is at present a candidate for the same position frank cannon os age 21 weight 135 height 5 ft 9 in he prepared at the allentown high school and is trying for half-back h d smith 08 is 21 years old weighs 170 and is g ft 2 in tall while at the centra manual train ing school of philadelphia he played guard he has been in several games as end but is now being tried at center n it grimball 06 is 21 years of age balances the beam at 100 lbs and measures 5 ft 10 in in height he had no football experience prior to entering lehigh he is a candi date for right tackle which position he played on the scrubs during the seasons of 1904-05 and 1905-06 g f murname 10 age 20 weight 145 and height 5 ft 5 in came tb lehigh from the
