              calendar farewell sermon sunday delivered by dr stewardson on last sunday morning the seat ing capacity of the packer memor ial chapel was taxed almost to its limit to hold all the admirers of dr stewardson students as well as residents of the bethlehems who had come to hear him deliver his farewell sermon the flowers which had been placed in the church through the kindness of some of his friends gave an added touch of beauty which was indeed most pleasing the sermon was very characteristic of dr stewardson just fitting in with the ideas which he has always believed in and gym exhibition the calisthenic drill given by a section of the freshman class proved a great success the men worked together uniformly exhibit ing precision and good form the next number was a new departure consisting of individual and combi nation exercises on the double hori ontal bars by another section of the freshman class the men did re those who attended the gymna sium exhibition last saturday even ing witnessed many events of a strictly novel character an interesting program given markably well and showed the re sult of steady and careful training the second part of the pro the text was taken from john xvi : 33 in the world ye shall have tribulation ;
