in addition to these the nondescript uniforms and bon mots of the players added considerably to the enjoyment not to say amusement of the spectators an interesting and successful meet the interscholastic track and field meet held on last saturday was an unqualified success the work of all competing teams showed hard and faithful training and the performance of those win ning the first places was in several events equal to the best that has been done by any preparatory school team an enthusiastic crowd had assembled before the appointed time for the first event shortly after two o'clock the first heat of the ioo-yard dash was an nounced ;
