Contest Follows Scranton, Southern Tests 3 Victories On Western Trip Boost 72-73 Mark To 7-3; Iowa Stale Here Thursday Seniors Hank Wisniewski of Rochelle Park, N.J., and Terry Martin of Cliffside Park, N.J., paced Lehigh's basketball team during a three-game southern swing as the Engineers posted a 1—2 mark. This followed a 1—1 record in the Scranton Invitational when Lehigh dropped a 77—66 decision to title-winning William and Mary on the first night but came back with a 71—67 edge over Scranton in the consolation contest. Down, South the Engineers dropped their opener to Stetson at Deland, Fla., 84—78, retaliated with a 79—71 triumph over Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., and then toppled before. North Carolina State's highly- ranked Wolfpack at Raleigh, N.C., 115—53. Coach Tom Pugliese's club takes a 3—8 seasonal mark into action this week. The Engineers face another major opponent Tuesday, West Virginia at Morgantown, W.Va., before returning to Grace Hall for contests against Drexel on Wednesday and Elizabethtown on Saturday. Wisniewski, the team's 6—8 scoring and rebound leader, totaled 51 points in the trio of southern contests to go along with 38 points and 28 rebounds at Scranton where he was named to the all-tourney team. His career scoring total has reached 823 as he bids to become only the fourth Lehigh eager in history to gain the 1,000-point mark. Lehigh returns to Grace Hall Thursday night, Jan. 18, against NCAA champion Iowa State which features Olympic giant Chris Taylor, a 425-pound national title-holder. Hagedorn, a 142-pounder from All-Star Wrestlers At Lehigh Feb. 5 Two national champions, Wade Schalles of Clarion State and Tom Milkovich of Michigan State, are among wrestlers selected to represent the East in the 7th annual all-star test against the West on Monday, Feb. 5, in Grace Hall on the Lehigh campus. Gerry Leeman of Lehigh, the meet director, announced that Schalles would be at 158 and Milkovich at 142. Jarrett Hubbard of Michigan, runnerup to Schalles in last year's NCAA finals, will represent the East at 150. Leeman and coaches Bill Koll (East) and Bill Nelson (West) are lining up 20 of the nation's most outstanding collegiate grappjers for the all-star test which will begin at 7:30 p.m. The meet is being sponsored by Lehigh in conjunction with the Freedom High School, Bethlehem, Booster Club, on behalf of the NCAA Wrestling Coaches Assn. All seats are reserved at $3 apiece and Lehigh's regular student, faculty and staff identification passes CANNOT be honored. Hagedorn, a 142-pounder from All-Star Wrestlers At Lehigh Feb. 5 Two national champions, Wade Schalles of Clarion State and Tom Milkovich of Michigan State, are among wrestlers selected to represent the East in the 7th annual all-star test against the West on Monday, Feb. 5, in Grace Hall on the Lehigh campus. Gerry Leeman of Lehigh, the meet director, announced that Schalles would be at 158 and Milkovich at 142. Jarrett Hubbard of Michigan, runnerup to Schalles in last year's NCAA finals, will represent the East at 150. Leeman and coaches Bill Koll (East) and Bill Nelson (West) are lining up 20 of the nation's most outstanding collegiate grappjers for the all-star test which will begin at 7:30 p.m. The meet is being sponsored by Lehigh in conjunction with the Freedom High School, Bethlehem, Booster Club, on behalf of the NCAA Wrestling Coaches Assn. All seats are reserved at $3 apiece and Lehigh's regular student, faculty and staff identification passes CANNOT be honored. Tickets are on sale in athletic departments at Lehigh, Muhlenberg College, Freedom High School, Easton, Pa., High School, Bethlehem Catholic High School, First Valley Bank of Bethlehem (Main St.), the Beef Baron in Shoppers Village, Bethlehem, Panik Barber Shop, 1718 Englewood Ave., Bethlehem, Miz's Place, 2446 Freemansburg Ave., Easton, and Travisano's Bakery, 620 Main St., Hellertown. Washington, N.J., dropped his opening match to Bill Wier of Cincinnati, 8-3, but came back strong to down Gene Jackson of Ball State, 7-3, Steve Barkman of Indiana State, also 7-3, and Dave Rankin of Oklahoma, 7-5. Hagedorn, who suffered severe cuts in a non-athletic injury prior to the trip, had been a questionable quantity as the Engineers headed westward.
