fifth season at lehigh with the first general organization meeting tuesday at 4:10 p.m in room 46 packard lab students from all classes are invited to at tend the meeting and members of the various production staffs will be signed up following a brief outline of the 1952 festival during the first two meet ings the old arcadia would attend the meeting the old president continuing as chair man but without votes only the new men would vote the old guard would continue in charge of the committees dur ing this month-long period president gene howie bus 52 see arcadia page 6 the german people are in no way being hoodwinked by the russians it is my impression that they are not at all interested in communism dean wray h congdon observed in an inter view wednesday the dean of students returned to lehigh last week after a three month leave of absence to study german univer sities and technical schools in the allied zones troupe to give lively revue at 8 in grace arcadia focused its attention wednesday night on two referen da to be submitted to the student body with the feb 20 and 21 elec tion of a new arcadia — a vote on continued affiliation with the national students association and one on amending the constitution to permit postponing election of new officers until two meetings after the election of the group publicity fc>r the nsa issue will he provided by talks be oi living groups by inform ed students space for the ar guments in b&w and disse mination of any other infor mation available the body voted to take a stand on the question at its next meet ing jerry muskin arts 52 intro duced a motion to postpone the election of officers which in the past has been held at the first meeting of the new arcadia the purpose he said is to give the new men a chance to get acquain ted before choosing their leaders car p c n t ers electricians business agents and other staff members are needed and all students are eligible for the positions according to johnson c blake arts 52 personnel manager of the show wilmer l wilbern i.e 52 coordinating director will be in charge of the meeting brigadoon the broadway musi cal will be the main theme of the 1952 production to be presented on april 18 and 19 a stage will be built over the south stands of grace hall during the weeks be fore the show and all students who apply for staff positions will be given a job in soe phase
