october 16 1951 bethlehem pa feather merchants swarmed on the campus yesterday as the 1912 campus chesi drive got un der way initial contributions were encouraging according to chest committee chairman jerry muskin setting their goal at three dol lars per student the committee is striving for 100 per cent par ticipation in the drive students pledging three dollars or more will be awarded a of lehigh's graduate school five foreign countries are represented among the winners canada tur key china switzerland and france metallurgy was the field in which the largest number mi grants were given sfu dents received granh^p continue research in this desmment in cluding glenn w coyer and eu gene g zukas the only gradu ates to receive awards of more than 2000 other departments represented by honor winner are history chemistry mathematics biology psychology geology physics bacteriology and civil electrical and mechanical engineering smiley glick appointed as lu trustees eugene g grace chairman of the board of trustees announced last week that two vacancies have been filled on the board dr e kenneth smiley vice president was named to the post of secretary of the board and el mer w glick assistant treasurer was named to the position of acting treasurer smiley has served lehigh in many positions since he came to the campus in 1934 he first was appointed as as sistant dean of the university later appointed to the post of director of admissions in recent years dr smiley has been serving as vice-president the duties of which he will con tinue to fulfill glick an alumnus of lehigh class of 1933 returned to the cam pus in 1949 to fill the post of as sistant treasurer while in school glick was an honor student and an outstanding member of le high's baseball team brown and
