gamma delta friday night john byerly president of the sportsman club and roger cole ville of the ski club drew up the new constitution with the help of dean charles seidle the new club is divided into two groups — field and stream and winter sports ac tivities of field and stream are hunting fishing camp ing and bicycle trips win ter sports activities include skiing skating and tobog ganing new officers of the outing club are john byerly president ed reston vice president of field and stream rus mcfarlan vice president of winter sports ted sheelz treasurer and lewis tut tle secretary attending the meeting were capt r j emerich faculty ad viser of the ski club and prof fay bartlett faculty adviser of the sportsman club movies on winter sports and camping trips were shown at the meeting plans for a possible canoe trip to the 1000 islands and a ski excursion to lake placid were discussed in refurnishing seven-hundred freshmen were added to the lehigh family this year new id cards were issued in place of the old activities tick et book and met with student ap proval the highlight of the charity ball in october was the adminis trative shoeshine service while rich parker and bernell argyle furnished the music for dancing in swift last-minute action arcadia and individual fra ternities put up the dough to send the band to dartmouth stan kenton and matt giiles pie were featured at the fall houseparty formal theta chi's lawnmower chopped up leopards to win the display contest before the lafay ette game the big brown did the same on the gridiron see roundup page 3 is cup winner at pop concert consecration of ihe new altar in packer memorial church will take place at special services at 10:30 a.m sunday june 17 when rt rev frank w sierreit bishop of ihe diocese of bethlehem will officiate he will be assisted by the rt rev wallace j gardner as principal speaker and the very rev frederic m adams both of the diocese of new jersey the altar designed by leslie h nobbs new york architect is the gift of william p starkey and his sons austin and paul and is in memory of gertrude c starkey this altar will speak for years to come to the students and faculty of lehigh uni versity as to the sovereignty of god as the supreme ruler graduation weekend for the class of 1951 will be marked by the traditional alumni and class day on june 16 baccalaureate sunday on june 17 and univer sity day on june 18 pennsyl vania's sen james h duff will be the principal speaker at the com mencement exercises on univer sity day on friday evening grace hall will be the scene
