new naval officer candidate school starting in early june located at newport rhode is land the school will resemble the navy v-7 schools with classes of 300 students the course covers 4 months with new classes conven ing on the first week of every month reserve and regular navy candidates who successfully complete their courses at newpoirt will be appointed ensigns in the naval reserve and be ordered to active duly their active duty lasts 3 yeaxs and they must retain their reserve commissions for 8 years if unsuccessful they will revert to their original status successful civilian candidates will be enlisted in the naval re serve for four years eligibility is limited to men from the ages of 19 to 26 and ci vilians must hold a baccalaureate degree along with a 1-a 1-ap 1-d 2-a eliot's murder in the cathedral sun day afternoon and evening all indications were that the play was a true success after the afternoon's performance prof h b davis who directed the produc tion remarked that he had received more favorable comment for this play than any other mustard and cheese had ever done originally scheduled for the religious conference held here in march the production had to be postponed in order to use newly decorated pack er church the play was one of the first events to take place in the redecorated church taking part in the play were jim gill arts 51 as thomas
