mcclintic 88 died on august 5 and frank raymond coates 90 died on june 26 mcclintic along with charles marshall a classmate at lehigh and also a trustee organized the construction firm of mcclintic marshall with financial aid from the mellon brothers this concern grew into one of the largest steel fabricating companies in the coun try mcclinic was 72 years of age when he died in pittsburgh coates was prominent athlete coates was 69 when he died at his home in avon n j after a long illness at lehigh he was a prominent athlete he played on the varsity football squad cap tained the track mcclintic 88 died on august 5 and frank raymond coates 90 died on june 26 mcclintic along with charles marshall a classmate at lehigh and also a trustee organized the construction firm of mcclintic marshall with financial aid from the mellon brothers this concern grew into one of the largest steel fabricating companies in the coun try mcclinic was 72 years of age when he died in pittsburgh coates was prominent athlete coates was 69 when he died at his home in avon n j after a long illness at lehigh he was a prominent athlete he played on the varsity football squad cap tained the track team for two years and managed the baseball team he took a postgraduate course after his graduation he was a member of the phi delta theta fraternity coates was an officer or director in 17 large corporations princip ally in the public utility railway and oil industries at the time of his death he entered the indus trial world after his graduation from lehigh as a roadman for the baltimore and ohio railroad and won rapid advancement later transferring to various other transportation enterprises he was a veteran of the spanish-ameri can war serving as regimental ad jutant of the fourth
