beidler ch e 36 received injuries at 10 p m new year's eve in allentown when the car which was being driven by beidler skidded on the slippery road and upset \ woodring 532 linden street bethlehem received injuries of the scalp beidler of quakertown suf fered from an injured pelvis and lacerations of the forehead both were taken to the allentown hos pital woodring was dismissed two days later both woodring and beidler are members of the rifle team other members of the car were miss ruth pickard and charles pickard members of the radio pickard family and catherine and jean post bethlehem english scholarship trials milton meissner chem e 34 is the winner of a rhodes scholarship it was announced last night by the selection committee of the middle atlantic states meissner is one of the four win ners from this district and ranked highest among the group in winning the rhodes award meissner becomes lehigh's third rhodes scholar r max goepp 28 was the first lehigh winner of the award and dudley l harley 30 was the second meissner competed for the award last year but was unsuccessful this year he was chosen as one of the four winners from an original group of 37 competitors from six states he will become a freshman at oxford in october of this year the scholarship carries a stipend of 2,000 a year for three years the first two years must be spent at oxford and the third year
