to outsid ers seems to be following all the rules and losing all the fun social options for lehigh students have changed with the times but not without concerns and complaints the change really began on march 19 1991 . following pressure from the adminis tration and faculty as well as its national fraternities lehigh's interfraternity coun cil then composed of 30 members passed the current closed party policy the policy has several main points to eliminate open parties chapters are required to submit a list of no more than 250 people who will be allowed to attend any given party chapters will be allowed to add no more than 50 new people to this list additionally the chapter must keep a separate list for alumni which alumni must sign before entering the party for crowd control the amount of people inside the party came and went smoothly due to the changes initiated by greek affairs co ordinator krispin wagoner the intentions were to make the system as fair as possible for both sorori ties and rushees wagoner said the changes in the present system were based on the national panhellenic council's rush release figures formula in which a ratio based on figures for the past three years determines the number of women sororities could invite back for each round of rush according to wagoner the key to the success of the new program was that cuts were made early in rush the early cuts led to smaller parties which became more intimate than last year's gather ings they also generated a better focus for rushees and sororities the sorority rush process is a lot different from
