the le high hillel group wednesday oct 22 in the bethlehem jewish com munity center rev george m bean university chaplain will opan the discussion with a short talk the official dedication of a spe cial room for the hillel group was held wednesday night in the cen ter the room was dedicated by the bethlehem b'nai b'rith women upon the occasion of the first an niversary of the counsellorship of the local hillel group the hillel radio workshop is planning to put on several radio programs on station wgpa in the next few weeks concert plans for spring are disclosed big scale production to include athletic music and mil dept the spring concert of the glee club is to be supplanted by a much larger production which will em brace at least three departments of the university prof william h schempf music director at lehigh recently announced the music military and athletic departments are cooperating to stage the pro duction in grace hall next spring ralph schwarz production man ager of laboratory christmas - saucon hall and drown hall the election will be carefully and rigidly supervised to prevent any fraudulent actions election officials will receive their final in struction organization wants to do only what the members sincerely de sire if the forty-niners want a beer party a banquet dances and other social activities we will have them fuehrer stated large class the address from such a distinguished fighter for the cause of world government should be interesting is trite dr peck's talk should and probably will drive home to all of those who hear him the crying need for a world government as we all know we must put an end to this present state of world chaos if we fail it will put an end to all of us dr peck should be able to show us at least in a general way how to do this student government takes step forward meeting to prevent inter-campus war mccauley will speak at mule's pep rally boyer to speak at grace a major step in the direction of fuller student government was reached thursday when groups representing lehigh and muhlen berg met to decide the proper steps to prevent inter-campus raids any student caught on the oth er's campus will be tried by a stu dent court and his guilt will be decided by his fellow students the court will also make recom mendations to the administration as to the punishment merited dean wray h congdon and a group representing the different branches of the student body met with a similar group from muh lenberg led by dean perry f kendig at a dinner at the 1720 house in trexlertown muhlen berg was the host this year other points agreed on at the meeting were that each school should exchange 100 copies of the student newspaper that treats edi torially the rivalry and the game it was also announced that any individual caught doing property damage would be required to pay for the damage also the presidents of the stu dent bodies will address the pep rally of the other group one week before the game albert mccau ley ai'cadia president will ad dress the muhlenberg pep rally while ralph boyer president of the muhlenberg student council will address the lehigh students at the rally for the rutgers game houseparty game tickets lottery held arcadia supervises fair allocation to all students the order in which living groups will draw tickets for the football game during houseparty weekend was determined by an arcadia sponsored lottery last wednesday the use of this lottery system was the first in houseparty history and the system was installed in order to prevent the usual first come first served fiasco that has taken place when houseparty foot ball tickets were drawn in the past a list was made of all living groups at lehigh and the town group was divided into 30 blocks of 30 men each since the town men are scheduled to call for their tickets at another date they will be on a first come first serve ba sas but the tickets will be com posed of some good and some bad as determined by junior class will meet class activity program to be main subject the class of 49 can become a powerful force in bringing back class spirit class unity — and fun — to the lehigh campus richard fuehrer president of the junior class stated in an interview re cently he urged all juniors to attend the class meeting to be held tomorrow at 4:10 p.m in packard auditorium in his statement concerning the first formal meeting of the class of 49 fuehrer said the main pur pose of the meeting is to outline a program of class activities for this year there is no sense of a few class officers and committee heads planning various class activities and social affairs which other for ty-niners don't want the junior class organization exists for the benefit of each in dividual forty-niner and the class organization wants to do only what the members sincerely de sire if the forty-niners want a beer party a banquet dances and other social activities we will have them fuehrer stated large class the junior class is one of the largest classes at lehigh univer sity and we have a whole year in which to work he continued the junior classes at other col leges hold many social events dur ing a school year and the class of 49 can do the same at lehigh if each forty-niner gives his sup port fuehrer added that the only previous mass meeting of the class of 49 was an informal get-to gether held last may at the win dish hall in reference to this year's social calendar the presi dent of the forty-niners called upon all juniors to offer their ideas and suggestions on the sponsorship of social events at to morrow's meeting the orchestra together with the combined music clubs of lehigh university and the moravian col lege for women will participate in the annual christmas concert it is hoped that address from such a distinguished fighter for the cause of world government should be interesting is trite dr peck's talk should and probably will drive home to all of those who hear him the crying need for a world government as we all know we must put an end to this present state of world chaos if we fail it will put an end to all of us dr peck should be able to show us at least in a general way how to do this student government takes step forward meeting to prevent inter-campus war mccauley will speak at mule's pep rally boyer to speak at grace a major step in the direction of fuller student government was reached thursday when groups representing lehigh and muhlen berg met to decide the proper steps to prevent inter-campus raids any student caught on the oth er's campus will be tried by a stu dent court and his guilt will be decided by his fellow students the court will also make recom mendations to the administration as to the punishment merited dean wray h congdon and a group representing the different branches of the student body met with a similar group from muh lenberg led by dean perry f kendig at a dinner at the 1720 house in trexlertown muhlen berg was the host this year other points agreed on at the meeting were that each school should exchange 100 copies of the student newspaper that treats edi torially the rivalry and the game it was also announced that any individual caught doing property damage would be required to pay for the damage also the presidents of the stu dent bodies will address the pep rally of the other group one week before the game albert mccau ley ai'cadia president will ad dress the muhlenberg pep rally while ralph boyer president of the muhlenberg student council will address the lehigh students at the rally for the rutgers game houseparty game tickets lottery held arcadia supervises fair allocation to all students the order in which living groups will draw tickets for the football game during houseparty weekend was determined by an arcadia sponsored lottery last wednesday the use of this lottery system was the first in houseparty history and the system was installed in order to prevent the usual first come first served fiasco that has taken place when houseparty foot ball tickets were drawn in the past a list was made of all living groups at lehigh and the town group was divided into 30 blocks of 30 men each since the town men are scheduled to call for their tickets at another date they will be on a first come first serve ba sas but the tickets will be com posed of some good and some bad as determined by
