no place to go this has caused many to turn to drinking in their rooms the rules have put gryphons hall directors and the campus police in a difficult situation because of their positions they are required to enforce the new laws as well as find other activities to occupy the students it seems so stupid because police are always walking down the halls looking in rooms and you can't really shut experienced it before the changes the part ies open kegs it's all gone now we even have to sneak around said one upperclassman many gryphons who were interviewed said the whole policy has forced them to be more like police figures rather than friends there to help the students others said they can not help but wonder what is going on when a few students walk into a room and shut the door then they are left with the options of either leaving the dorm so they will not be around or walking in on the students and seeing if they are breaking the rules i don't like it but it is my job to enforce it says john krupa a gryphon in dravo another dravo gryphon carolyn cunniff said it puts us in such a difficult position i hate it when we have to be like police other people said the new policy has shown some positive things for the campus dale cushman the hall director in dravo said i graduated from lehigh two years ago when the policy was not in effect students were hurting themselves destroying the dorms and failing out now that i am back and the new policy is in effect i see people more interested in their school work and caring about grades it is unfortunate for the students who could drink maturely and keep up their school work but in the long run i do think it will workout students are showing their mixed feelings towards the new policy but overall there are ways to get
