occurring in the environment because everyone has a certain responsibili ty to environmental stewardship osburn said there should be a concern for how our actions affect other species there needs to be more research about what can be done to level off population growth and how to sustain what resources we still have osburn said albrecht's intended audience encom passes everyone our goal is to educate everyone and one of our most important target individuals right now is the college student albrecht said today's students are tomorrow's lead ers and members of society albrecht also thinks generations x and y will benefit from a decreasing world popu lation for other reasons i think that with a less rapidly increas ing population young adults will be able to find an identity in a society that currently places no value on the individual albrecht said with a slowed population growth people may have more respect for each other and life in general because the issues surrounding popula tion growth are so far reaching albrecht urges anyone who has the desire to become active regardless of his or her course of study anyone can get involved albrecht said economy majors can see how popula tion issues affect a nation's gnp engineers are necessary for sustainable development projects political science students can inter act with the government and humanities stu dents of any
