the past the classic cup was a small area with an espresso cart a coffee cart and a glass case which held bottled ben light 98 spent his summer getting paid to play with and test toys while tracy doyle 98 was m hampton va helping design a fuel system for a jet being created by nasa light and doyle are two of many stu dents who were involved with summer internships they and others were given the chance to gain work experience that may lead to future jobs light a mechanical engineering major worked for k'nex industry toy company m hatfield pa at the beginning stages of the internship light began by playing with the toys to see if they were enjoyable and later helped to design and test the toys for safety last spring light saw the ad for the job m lehigh listings after an application and interview process he was offered the job k'nex which makes construction toys simi lar to legos offered light a paid internship light said the atmosphere of the compa ny was relaxed and the dress code was always casual he enjoyed the internship because he said he never felt like an intern my ideas were respected and treated equally light said i would sit m on meetings and my ideas counted equally selects bethlehem interim mayor by t.j furman editor m chief former bethlehem mayor paul marcincin was chosen as the interim mayor by the city council last night m a unanimous vote after current mayor kenneth r smith gave his formal resignation effective oct 1 to the council marcincin 79 served as mayor from 1978 until 1987 after a 10-year stint as a councilman he was thrown out of the mayor's
