from future reform the lecture and slideshow the future of health care can the in dustry reform itself was sponsored by the lehigh university economics society the total cost of care is approach ing $ 1 trillion saunders said these increasing rates over the last 35 years are not supported by our economy he said the single most important reform is the ability to establish out comes measurements and people usually go up to the hill however the acs and bsu said that they wanted a non-alcoholic event so we lehigh-lafayette week an age-old tradition cel ebrating the 130-year football rivalry between the two schools has once again arrived heralded by a flurry of student activities the student activities council ran programs and activities all week to raise school spirit and get students involved most activities have been free and at the most minimal charge to make them all easily avail able to students john egan 98 spoke of his anticipation of these activities i knew coming to lehigh that lehigh lafayette weekend is supposed to be one of the best weekends so i'm looking forward to it sac sponsored a tarot card reader and an old fashioned photo booth with dress-up costumes and black and white photos tuesday m the ulrich student center wednesday they had graffiti artist t-shirts with various designs to choose from comedienne pam stone from nbc's coach performed a stand-up routine thursday m packard m with chest pains there will be a systematic approach as to what tests must be conducted initially and auto matically if we don't do this we won't know what restrictions of has published a bibliography of works by john updike an american novel ist poet and critic de bellis originally intended to write a book about updike while on sabbatical m 1991 i got about 250 pages into it and realized it was going to be a difficult project de bellis said as i began to amass materials for the book i saw that i had the workings for a bibliography the bibliography is intended for collectors updike has been writing for 35 years publishing at least one book a year sometimes two or three de bellis bibliography includes the last 25 years of updike's writings de bellis discovered works by updike all over the world translated into various languages including russian portuguese finnish chi nese and polish de bellis said it was interesting to find that m addi tion to his known if you're one of the 40 mil lion who are poor part-time work ers between jobs or unemployed you have no care it's disastrous and one-third of the uninsured are children saunders said he also talked about trying to simplify the billing process saunders said that of the 1,200 insurance com panies m the country each has its own procedure with different rules and regulations patients and even physicians m hospitals don't know all the proce dures saunders said you can lose coverage if you don t follow the rules it's really a non-system and very confusing in relation to professional liabil
