' ucational a tabulation of the responses to date about 50 per cent of those sent out shows 76.6 per cent favoring coeducation 20.4 per cent opposing and three par cent undecided the questionnaire made considerations for university position and college of 60 returns from full professors 42 70 per cent favored coeducation 16 26.7 per cent opposed it snd two were undecided of 57 associate crystallized repression in a merica he asked the people in attendance to kssp their idealism alive until they got into the seats of power barry wlllner editor of the lafayette spoke against the external invaders that made universities the slaves of money and self-righteousness and " models of the inequities of the outside world • john gibbons professor of geology and advisor to lafayette's students for demo cratic reform announced that the lafayette curriculum committee had voted tuesday to abolish compulsory rotc and would most likely also recom mend to the board of trustees to abolish academic credit the vote against com pulsory rotc was 85-44 gibbons also stated that the " stagnation and sellout of universities and their " vocationallsm were symptom of the crisis which has the potential to destroy democracy marty tucker 69 also of the free press declared that my optimism is not the politics of joy it is the politics of reality he said that the " military mind perpetrates the vietnam war the vast majority of students say that they don't want to fight he said that the draft wasthenußtary's control over students and general hershe/s the biggest pig in ths country tucker said that it was people like hers hey who brought on chicago after the speakers had finished a person in a rotc uniform burst through the circle around the speakers and demanded equal time for the
