girl is a producer in this production who rescues six youngsters from a perturbing plight marge benson the character bringing love interest into the play is portrayed by eleanor lewis she played the society's initiation while thieven an active member of the new york alumni chapter talked on that organization's activities which include the sponsoring of inspection trips in and about new york according to zerby lehigh is the first college to be visited this year in the annual trips by the national officers of eta kappa nu to the various chapters the juniors who were initiated are frank h cossack hero of the napoleanic wars the 27 man choir has a highly varied repertoire ranging from romantic gypsy tunes to aye ma ria their program includes tschaikovsky cossack folk-music the volgo boat song and a spe cial novelty number besides the vocal program there will be demonstrations of cossack dancing featuring a whirlwind dance and a sword dance during the last decade the chorus has given over 4,000 con certs and sung all over the world this is their first major tour of the united states and they will sing in over 40 states the cossacks are citizens of mexico and recently were founded in prague by a group of russian ex iles who had escaped to czecho slovakia after the russian revo lution the cossacks from the region around the river don in russia have long been famous for their fine voices for many years cos sack choruses have sung at the courts of the russian czars num bers of them served in the army during the world war and be cause of their loyalty to the old regime were forced to flee from russia when the bolshevists came into power the choir gave occasional per formances growing continuously and after a highly successful per formance in vienna the cossacks were ready to give up their re nicholas kostrukoff the con ductor of the choir was one of these exiled cossacks after wan derings through southern europe he finally settled in prague and took up the study of mining engi neering in prague kostrukoff found other exiled cossacks and struck up a friendship with them the russians often got together and sang old russian songs and soon kostrukoff became the
