saturday on tay lor field the earlier part of the contest showed the brown and white to good advantage and although wysocki and savaria were both out of the game a better team ap peared on the field on the kickoff navy fumbled and badhanu recovered the ball on the thirty-yard line twice the varsity were in scoring distance but could not get it over on either cocasion it was at the start of the second period after two passes were un successful that dowd registered the field goal he kicked from the 25-yard line the ball going low but bounced over the cross-piece the second half started well for lehigh and for the greater part of the time the bal hovered in mid field near the end of the quarter mlotter blocked one of webb's punts and the ball was carried to the varsity's 10-yard line the line held well for three downs but on the fourth the philadelphians broke through scoring the first touchdown of the game lehigb tried hard to come back and soon had the ball in navy's territory but lost the ball on downs to ward the end of the game webb punted short and stone caught the ball and scooted down the field 60 yards for the second tally since the marines disbanded a number of their
