athletic talent there is in college dr drinker also advised the student body to consider the dis continuance of the opening night rush and the substitution of a saner contest such as a tug of war in interest aroused by this report was intensified and deepened to no small extent by mr mccrea's founder's day address which came at a most opportune time from the standpoint of this movement containing as it did a strong appeal to educational institutions to embody in their cur ricula exactly the work that the politics club in conjunction with the department of economics and history is planning to proved when in the sec ond period he made the only score of the game by booting the pig-skin between the lehigh goal-posts from our twenty-five yard line owing to the change in the date formerly fixed for the contest and possibly to the fact that most of the townspeople could not well arrange to see a week-day game the at tendance was unusually small the number of students present was however greater than that at any contest this year lehigh in spite of her defeat showed up well the brown and white gained consistently both on plunges through the bucknell line and on end runs toward the end the lehigh backfield rushed the ball to bucknell's fifteen-yard line at this juncture of the game flick got away with amazing swiftness and could always be counted on for long gains crichton too made several good runs an attempted forward pass to mccaffrey however was fumbled and topham on the next play booted the ball back into safe territory it appeared for an instant that mccaffrey had been
