against pratt institute and he made a good showing only two sale hits were made off his delivery and he struck out ten men lehigh seems to have recovered from the first inning stage fright as mani fested at several games this season and on saturday the men played like veterans throughout the en tire game pratt never had a show until the sixth inning when a base on balls followed by a pretty three bagger by holtorf yielded them their first run holtorf was caught between third and home in an attempt to work the squeeze play until this inning not a pratt man had reached first base and wolfram had scarcely been touched the score at the end of the sixth inning stood g to 1 during the seventh and eighth inn ings both sides went down in the one two three order but in the ninth with a history of the three part constantinople then followed in rapid succession views of the sultans palaces theold hippodrome old monuments various mosques and the loading bazaar < sand wiched between these the lecturer found time to throw numerous side lights on the turkish fire depart ment the dogs and the primitive methods of transportation of that historical center the athletic committee met last thursday afternoon and approved the following — the price of the varsity l certificates was fixed at 1.00 each the price to cover the original cost of engraving and engrossing the matter of issuing them was placed in the hands of the secretary of the athletic committee the secretary of the athletic committee was instructed to send to each manager of the spring teams at the beginning of each college year a copy of the rules re lating to the schedules of their teams and the managers of these teams are directed to meet with the secretary of the athletic committee before christmas in order to reach a definate conclusion in reference to the dates of the games for the diffei en t sports the following resolution was voted — eesol ved that in the future when lehigh plays with lafaj'ettee at easton no athletic event shall be scheduled at home the treasurer and the secretary of the athletic committee were appointed to prepare the final re port of the committee for presenta tion to the trustees alumni and senior class and also to revise and prepare this report for publication after the close of college in june the committee on grounds was in structed to proceed with the
