1908 football schedule at the meeting of the athletic committee on thursday afternoon the basketball insignia was award ed to troutman street davies keife and anderson and the bas ketball monogram to a osborne r o'sborne uptegraff and sterner 191 1 numerals were awarded to mccoy a vote of thanks was tendered to w stobaeus for ref ereeing games the election of w b da vies as captain of the 1909 team was ratified as also the nominations of ewing f p law rence and treat for assistant manager it was voted to buy a trophy for lacrosse and one for track similar to the trophy now belong ing to baseball these trophies will be contested for by class teams and the winner of a series of games in any year is to have the privilege of inscribing its class numerals on the trophy the following resolution was adopted and ordered to go into ef fect immediately : before a student can become a candidate for any of the variotis athletic teams he must first un dergo a physical examination at the
