election of officers for next year the final meeting of the mustard and cheese dramatic association for the present year was held on tuesday night at the psi upsilon house a large number of the members were present and all busi ness was put into good shape for next year the treasurer's report showing a balance of 150.00 was read and accepted by the associa tion some little discussion fol lowed upon the question of what to do with the money many opin ions were expressed in regard to the starting of a fund for the pur pose of obtaining in future years suitable rooms for the mustard and cheese but nothing definite was clone in regard to the matter a motion to the effect that those members now in college who had played in previous performances but who had never received pins should be given pins was made and defeated another motion to the effect that the seven new members be presented with pins was carried and these will be given as soon as they can be obtained from the jew eler a committee of three was ap pointed by the president to draw up a new constitution for the as sociation to be ready before the first meeting of next year the matter of giving a musical comedy next spring was discussed and met with much favor but it was not . definitely decided upon the following officers were elected for the ensuing year president hutchinson ; vice president zahniser secretary angle freasurer ta ussier stage manager johnson business manager zahniser musical director johnson the meeting was then adjourned the annual freshman public speaking contest for prizes of 15 10 and 5 will be held friday morning may 29 at 11 o'clock six speakers will be selected in a preliminary contest to be held on may 22 at 11 a m all fresh men are eligible to the preliminary contest the following men are especially urged to take part in the prelimi nary contest : e s adams dean dorrence farrel fox franken field gregg jacoby johns meyer mills nicholson powell roper r m salisbury smith n g tomp kins vockrodt westlake white side event program and officials for the the second annual track and field meet for interscholastic honors will be held on lehigh field on saturday afternoon under the aus pices of the athletic committee the programme of events will be gin sharply at 2.00 o'clock the entries for this meet have far exceeded those of last year both in the number of schools represent ed and the total number of competi tors ;
