was over the referee said that he would not like to have to say which was the better team the halves were thirty minutes in length and the first goal was not scored until fifteen minutes after play began when mcginnis secur ing the ball after some very pretty work shot the goal fleming being totally unsupported symington was injured and was unable to play his usual game the ball was faced off chamberlain c lehigh 16 p r r y m c a 10 lehigh won handily on last sat urday by the above score the game was characterized by heavy batting on both sides but lehigh rather excelled in this particular especially toward the end kelly started in to pitch but after being unmercifully pounded for two in nings was replaced by sellers who held his hard-hitting opponents under beautiful control only allow ing them two hits in the remaining five innings of the game the features were the batting of lilley and barton and the three difficult running catches by capt james in center field at the end of the
