professor williams addressed the regular association meeting sun day evening his remarks grouped about a thought taken from galatians iv 4 namely in his own time and way god substantiates the bible narra tive he said in substance that one hundred years ago german bible critics had seemingly proven many points held by the christian church as false these criticisms seemed impregnable one of the points in which they doubted the validity of the bible was that moses wrote the penta teuch supposing that there was no written language by which these records could be preserved and knowing that he lived several hun dred years after the events therein recorded took place the natural conclusion was that he wrote mere ly from tradition in more recent date tablets con taining a language wholly new to modern scholars was found in one of the subways of the ruins of jerusalem the investigations have been very conclusive in showing that palestine as the israelites found it was inhabited by a people well advanced in civilization and from their written records moses was able to write the books ascribed to him in the bible narrative itself this evidence is sufficient in itself to establish the validity of the bible on this point aside from its claim of inspiration several other criticisms of like character were cited and their falsity established in essentially the same way as would be expected professor williams made the subject one of great interest to the large number present down for the cadets taussig missed a difficult goal annapolis again returned the kick-off and james ran the ball back twenty yards the ball changed hands frequently the play being mostly in lehigh's territory until time was called for the first half score annapolis 18 ;
