went south without having any practice that amounted to any thing and the consequence was that no games were won on the trip thus far bat two games have been arranged with lafayette one at easton and one here this is because president warfield has forbidden the team to play on neu tral ground and it would be a de cided advantage to either team to have the third game in the event of a tie played on its own grounds there is a prospect of a game with the indians the college was very much pleased with the football game they played here last fall and they may be as much of a surprise this spring as they were then the usual games will be play ed with princeton and pennsyl vania but there will be no game with cornell the following is the schedule completed up to date march 27 — univ of vermont at south bethlehem april 6 — columbia at south bethlehem april 10 — georgetown at wash ington april 11 — univ of virginia at charlottes ville april lo — univ of north caro lina at chapel hill april 15 — univ of north caro lina at raleigh april 20 — univ of penna at philadelphia april 2-1 — state college at south bethlehem april 27 — lafayette at easton may 1 — princeton at princeton may 4 — lafayette at south beth lehem may 15 — univ of penna at south bethlehem may 18 west point at west point the southern club according to the announcement in the last issue of this paper the southerners met in the english room at 12.30 p m on tuesday and further discussed the plans for making their club a decided suc cess at lehigh a number of short talks brought out the idea of more college feeling and a better acquaintance with fel low students the object of this club is by no means sectional but it designs to bring together men of a common feeling and thus create an interest in each other and a gen eral fellowship among all another meeting will be held in the newly fitted up room in christ mas hall next monday evening at 7 o'clock the committee will report on constitution and by-laws every southerner should consider it both a privilege and a duty to give his support to this club j s lieilig 91 formerly with the maryland steel company is employed at the bethlehem iron works senior class meeting a meeting of the senior class was held in the english room in packer hall tuesday at 12.30 o'clock immediately after dr caskey had finished his lecture to the class president poultney called the meeting to order the reading of the minutes was dispensed with the business of the meeting con sisted in the discussion of the cap and gown question and the nomi nation of the class day officers coleman moved that the class adopt the cap and gown to be worn after easter this was amended by gibson so as to read that the class request the members to wear cap and gown the motion was then passed some discussion arose as to the manner of making nominations for the class honors a motion to have the president appoint a com mittee to make arrangements for nominations and elections was lost an amendment to the preceding empowering the committee to make nominations also failed to pass the class then proceeded to make the necessary nominations these to be held open for two days the nominations follow : class toast cooke murray,kautz,warr farman ; de huff 95 electrical engineer ; steinmetz 95 street railway journal ; flory 96 elec trical review ; hall 96 electrical age and eden 96 electricity they have also been informed of their duties as follows : they are expected to send to their several journals the transactions of the so ciety as published in the college pa pers with any notes or comments they may choose to add ;
