differ considerably from the present up perclass houses i am unready to grant this proposal until limiting houses or dates have been specified 3 during the academic year should be further defined to exclude all vacation periods and exam ination periods see campbell page 8 by 808 bachman the civil rights movement found its way into the fifth meeting of arcadia xix wednesday evening in the form of a letter from dr martin luther king the letter urged support of king's protests in selma alabama after much discussion on whether arcadia should be involved the council decided to refer the letter to the civil rights club and to send a letter to king asking what positive action arcadia could take other topics discussed included road conditions on campus the possibility of a referendum on an honor system and a report on an inter-collegiate conference to be held here next month attendance at the meeting was not at all improved the audience was composed of past arcadia president v odger digilio pres ident of arcadia associates don ald i cuneo 66 and a photog rapher who wanted to take pic tures of the arcadia members robert s young 66 vice-presi dent of arcadia said the meetings were generally boring adding i would not go to an arcadia meet ing if i were not a member of arcadia after the meeting digilio stat ed it's good to get back to an arcadia meeting i had forgotten what true boredom is like harvey l york 67 reported that holes in the roads in sayre park will be repaired as soon as the weather improves he also reported that buildings and grounds has agreed to measure ihe height of the tank traps on campus to make sure they do nol damage automobiles which go over them at the next arcardia meeting a motion will be voted upon to have a referendum on an honor systerr
