will be arriving tonight for the activities of the annual freshman parents weekend over 2,200 parents sons and guests are expected to participate in the varied program including academic convocations art shows and teas along with a football game luncheon and concert the program will officially be gin at 10:30 a.m saturday morn ing with special convocations in each of the three undergraduate colleges these meetings are de signed to acquaint parents with their son's chosen curricula and its faculty as well as the avail able academic and extracurricular opportunities of the particular the new campus motor vehicle regulations these regulations were revised in janu ary 1964 and are more extensive than any previous set student vehicles must be regis tered with the office of the super intendent of buildings and grounds in advance of the vehicle's oper ation on the campus a change in license must also be reported to the office immediately all registered cars must bear a lehigh sticker which must be displayed in plain sight parking regulations are exten sive students are not allowed to park on lower campus from 7:30 a m to 4 p m monday thru fri day or saturdays from 7:30 a m chairman and chief executive officer of bethlehem steel corp has been named a member of the univer sity board of trustees mr martin began his industrial career with bethlehem steel in 1922 after graduation from college in 1922 he commenced his asso ciation as a member of the com pany's first loop course a man agement training program for col lege graduates he was named president of the corporation in 1960 and assumed his present position as chairman and chief executive officer in april of 1964 in 1963 the university presented him with a convocation citation for distinguished service to the welfare and progress of his com munity bethlehem that same year the swedish gov ernment conferred upon him one of its highest private individual decorations the knight command er of the royal order of the north star in recognition of his activities in the advancement of the lamco joint venture a liberian iron ore project of international scope martin is a director of the american iron and steel institute a member of the association of iron and steel engineers and a trustee of the automotive safety foundation born in chicago where he at tended university high he moved see martin page 6 ucla in 1961 her first professional singing experi ence came when she joined the back porch majority she soon found herself an active member of the group barry mcguire was born in 1935 in oklahoma city in his youth he worked on a fishing boat in california he was discovered by peggy lee while singing in a club in santa monica barry pane was born in russia and came to the united states in 1946 grace hall houseparty weekend above them on the fourth floor will be dancing with joe forte and the originals the new christy minstrels large in repetoire size and popu larity will present a concert in grace hall on friday after the concert there will be a dance upstairs in grace hall fea turing joe forte and the origin als the concert and dance are being sponsored by the class of 65 the cost of
