20athletes honored martindale tops all john davidson russell borner and gordon hoare have been elected presidents of the classes of 61 62 and 63 respectively the revised student body con stitution was ratified by a total vote of 1052 during these elec tions results of the three-day class elections held on monday tuesday and wednesday of last week were announced by arcadia president philip mezey 61 at flagpole day ceremonies yesterday davidson will serve his third con secutive term as president of the class of 61 which re-elected all of its incumbent officers on the first ballot vice-presidential positions will be filled by kenneth smith 61 jon krupnick 61 and john dickey 63 robert paternoster 61 william parnell 62 and robert sofferman 63 were elected class secretaries with charles hodge 61 james mor gan 62 and james ritz 63 chosen to serve as treasurers davidson achieved his first-ballot victory with a total of 256 votes last may he garnered 192 first place nods and won on the third transfer under the hare system smith and paternoster also first ballot winners in the 61 elections received 200 and 273 votes respectively hodge run ning unopposed needed a quota of 186 votes to gain the 61 treasurer's spot he topped the quota by 99 votes receiving the see 5 page 8 three seniors — thomas gilhool samuel matthews and robert wal ters — received top leadership and service awards at the annual flag pole day ceremonies wednesday though it never came threat ening rain forced a crowd of about 800 to witness the hour long ceremony in packard lab auditorium chaplain
