performance of the evening was turned in by bass player jenkins a highly-touted freshman who lived up to all of his advance billing in a few months jen kins has achieved the respect reserved for those vice president richard shulman 60 was named last night to join 1500 u.s student leaders at the national student conference on the sit-in movement april 22 and 23 in washington d.c the conference sponsored by the u.s national student as sociation is designed to bring together student body presi dents from every major college and university in the country to discuss the recent sit-in movement in the south according to donald a hoffman usnsa president and curtis b gans national affairs vice-presi dent the purpose of the conference is to present participants with a coherent picture of the nature and goals of the southern movement and to discuss the responsibilities of all students with regard to this movement we hope also to create a nation wide awareness that a considerable body of establish a criteria for the student appointments attempts by arcadia to settle this issue per manently comes after two years of conflict with the dean appointments involved are those to the board of
