in the 123 lb class is alex mc cord a senior newcomer to the varsity mccord wrestled a few jv meets last year and was a state champion in high school at 130 lbs is veteran jim ma honey who won five lost one and tied one before he suffered a shoul der injury mahoney was metro politan champ in 1950 ken faust at 137 lbs was runner up in the eiwa tourney last year as a freshman and is moving up one weight this year faust had a rec ord of four wins one loss and two draws in varsity competition last year at a special meeting monday noon arcadia unanimously voted to sug gest to the faculty that student opin ion is against any change in the start of the school year no action on the suggested change was taken by the faculty at its meeting the same day it had been proposed that the school year should begin on the thursday nearest sept 14 instead of the thursday nearest sept 21 when school opens now according to arcadia member george hopkins 54 four reasons were advanced for the change department heads felt it advisable that students should get out of school earlier at the end of the spring semester to look for jobs at present there is a conflict between alumni homecoming final examinations and graduations when the alumni event was held the same weekend as graduation those attending had difficulty in get ting rooms because of the conflic ting events it was felt that the two having changed his quiz grades in his instructor's grade book two sophomores drew the same punishment for illegally possessing keys to university buildings and property the pair also received five disciplinary demerits a fourth sophomore received the same penalty of a semester's sus pension plus five disciplinary de merits for cheating in an hour quiz and for making a second attempt to cheat by changing his quiz pa per and claiming credit after the return of the quiz paper the com mittee announced another sophomore drew imme diate suspension for the balance of the semester with a loss of all presented by the combined glee clubs of moravian college for women and lehigh will be held at 4 p.m sunday in packer memorial chapel the service will feature two new musical organizations one of the grams for billy rose productions and in the early 30 s — brown and white with the change in printers have come some changes in typography b&w is now chiefly using medium sans-serif headline type instead of extra-bold serif type b & w made the change because the new type is more modern clearer conservative and functional minor changes have also been made in body type brown and white has changed printers beginning with this issue and all succeeding issues until june 1954 at least will be printed by the william f schlechter printing co in allentown the contract was signed wednesday by
