Steward, Ketcho Leaders Against Leopard Quintets Lehigh basketball teams did a number on visiting Lafayette last Saturday at Stabler Center, the women opening a doubleheader with an 83-70 triumph and the men following with a 62-45 victory. Freshman Shawn Steward led the Engineer women with 21 points while senior Fred Ketcho was the pace-setter for the men with 23. Each team led at halftime and never was overtaken. Coach Miiffet McGraw's streaking team, moving to its sixth straight triumph and seventh in its last eight starts, jumped ahead of the Lafayette women early and never let up. Earlier, since the last South Mountaineer, the squad had beaten American, 74-58, Kutztown, 87-46, LaSalle, 79-77, Rider, 86-67, and Newark- Rutgers, 72-71, in a row. The team has a 12-and-6 overall mark and is 4-and-3 in the East Coast Conference as playoff time approaches. The triumphs over LaSalle, American, Rider and Lafayette all came in league games.
