LU To Host Special Olympics Lehigh Husted Is No. 1 Wrestler; Missouri Takes Team Title Win Crowns Pre-holiday action for Lehigh matmen resulted in a 24-12 dual victory over Wilkes and a second-place finish, to Missouri, in the 3rd annual Sheridan Invitational at Stabler Center. Bob Weaver (118) of Easton, Pa., Tom Husted (126) of Mont- vale, N. J., Tommy Bold (150) of Bethlehem, Pa., and Colin Kilrain (190) of Braintree, Mass., emerged with perfect 4-0 marks. They won championships in the Sheridan test, along with Jeff Turner (177) of Easton, Pa., a loser against Wilkes. Husted was voted Outstanding Wrestler in the Sheridan. Lehigh 34 26-60 Colgate 30 36-66 Summer Games To Feature More Than 1,300 Athletes Lehigh will host the 1982 Pennsylvania Special Olympic Summer Games June 2-5. The announcement was made at a special kickoff meeting in the University Center Dec. 2 at which John Woltjen, Lehigh vice president and treasurer, officially welcomed the Olympics to the University. More than 1,300 mentally retarded athletes from across the state will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in basketball, diving, equestrian events, frisbee, soccer, swimming, wheelchair and track and field events. Coordinating the program at Lehigh will be Jim Harper, director of community relations, Greg Schulze, director of intramural athletics and recreation, and Mike Podd, assistant director of conferences and events at Stabler Center. There will be events in Taylor Stadium and Taylor Gymnasium and on the Saucon Fields athletic complex. All will be open to the public free of charge. Women Win One of Three Lehigh's women's basketball team opened its season with three one-sided games, winning 90-46 over Allentown College between losses to Mt. St. Mary's, 77-44, and Kean College, 75-55. Patti Cutting, of Rockville, Md., led the scoring against Allentown with a game-high 17 points. Terri Guman, of Bethlehem, Pa., had 16. Ann Loan, of New Providence, N.J., added 14 and Georgia Pietsch, of Pittsburgh, Pa., had 12.
