Scheduled It's football playoff time again for Lehigh on Saturday (12/13) as the Engineers host Eastern Kentucky University in Taylor Stadium at 1 p.m. The pairing is a classic rematch of last year's national championship finale, at Orlando, Fla., in which the Colonels defeated Lehigh, 30-7. Lehigh (9-0-2) hasn't dropped a game since while EKU (9-2) has lost only to Akron, 21-10, and Western Kentucky, 13-10. The Colonels have beaten Kentucky State, Youngstown, Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee, East Tennessee, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, East Carolina and Morehead State. This will be Lehigh's fifth playoff appearance in the eight years in which post-season action has been scheduled beginning in 1973. The Engineers are 4-3 in playoff competition. They dropped their first game at Western Kentucky in 1973 by a 25-16 score and their second, at home in 1975, to New Hampshire, 35-21. In both of those contests they took a lead into the fourth quarter. In 1977 the losing spell was broken as the Engineers went all the way to the Div. 2 national championship on the road, winning 30-23 at Massachusetts, 39- 30 over Cal Davis at Sacramento, Calif., and 33-0 over Jacksonville, Ala., State in the Pioneer Bowl at Wichita Falls, Tex. They moved into the newly- created 1-AA division in 1978, (Continued on Page 2) Blue Leads Engineers Past Middies With 17- Pt. J., and Mike Power, of Doylestown, Pa., had eight apiece. Brian Collins, 6-7 sophomore from Manville, N. J., played the last 10 minutes with four personal fouls and grabbed eight key rebounds. Ketcho (13), Blue (10) and Power (9) were leaders in the victory over Moravian. Collins (15) and Riley (12) paced Lehigh against Temple. Lehigh officially accepted the 1980 Lambert Cup, emblematic of eastern medium-sized school football supremacy, at a luncheon last Thursday in New York City.
