The agreement is for one year with an option to renew for the following two years. "We are very pleased," said director of athletics Joe Sterrett. "The Eagles camp will provide broad exposure of the Lehigh campus throughout the Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania area." "This is something that we're very excited about," said Joe Banner, the Eagles vice president- administration. "Last summer we had an intrasquad scrimmage at Lehigh's Goodman Stadium and it was a very favorable experience in every sense. In particular we had a great turnout of Eagles fans from the Lehigh Valley who really gave a warm reception. This year we feel that same positive atmosphere will carry through the entire training camp." Training camp will be held from mid-July to mid-August with daily practice sessions open to the public free of charge. Parking will also be free. All practices will take place on the Goodman Campus. The team will use three practice fields, including the fields used by Lehigh's Division I-AA football team. They also will use the adjacent Varsity House locker room, laundry and meeting facilities as well as Taylor College House and Rathbone Hall. The Eagles camp will also provide positive exposure for Lehigh's conference and athletics facilities, said conference services coordinator Bobbie Stahr. "The camp will cause some adjustments initially, but we will not be turning away our camps that have been here before." "Not having done this before we don't exactly know what impact it will have on the staff, however, we will be providing the type of service people are accustomed to receiving at Lehigh," added Sterrett. The Eagles have trained at West Chester University for the last 16 years. Prior to training at West Chester the Eagles held summer camp at Widener University.
