described it as a council of 11 equals snyder continued i have never denied that i am an emotional person . that part she's definitely right but i admitted that to the council insincere that i don't think i am miss grossman's thoughts about resignation came after she received a letter from snyder on oct 24 in which snyder suggested that she contemplate resignation due to poor health he signed it best wishes for a speedy recovery snyder said he asked miss b&w reporter forced to leave meeting mw photo by tola norman mailer bootstrap law school doubtful says brockway by robert feldman brian brockway dean of the college of business and economics said that he doubts a modified law school will be started at the university in an interview tuesday brockway one of the original advocates of the law school which was voted down for the present by the board of trustees last month presented a new plan for what he called a bootstrap law school to a meeting of law school proponents last week my interpretation of the trustees response was negative on that basis i presume that the idea of a modified law school is dead brockway said such a modified law school would consist of an initial expense of 100,000 to 200,000 rather than the initially proposed in vestment of 3.5-million purchasing books at a rate of 10,000 a year rather than 20,000 a year up to a maximum of 100,000 volumes and utilizing available space rather than constructing a new building solely for the law school brockway said that the quality of such a school would not be altered by the cutback in funds the key to a law school is the faculty brockway explained in a modified law school we would still have the best faculty the major cutbacks would be in establishing a library and building for the school office space however would not be a severe problem he said legal service for students is investigated by jeff bodenstab the possibility of hiring a lawyer to provide legal services to the university community is bt.n investigated by tne legal action committee of the forum in an effort to discover a more effective way to protect the civil rights of university students the committee whose creation was prompted by the arrest and subsequent suicide of university sophomore randy bujcs last fall was charged with this responsibility by the forum on nov 20 of last year a proposal calling for a lawyer to be retained by the university was presented to the forum earlier this year the plan was rejected until further evidence could be presented to support the plan said ferdinand beer professor and brown and white reporter was physically escorted from monday night's student activities council sac meeting amid malicious comments by council members sac president keith snyder moved to close the meeting after heated argument had taken place following the resignation of council member sharon grossman 76 snyder said he wanted a general rap session for council members to air their complaints concerning council activities snyder said i'd like to clear the air and asked the reporter to leave the room when he refused snyder said that any further sac business that night was not in the interest of the student body snyder said that the closed meeting was necessary for sac's self-evaluation of its internal problems and for internal housekeeping snyder said if we want to draw blood enough blood will run that it will drip to the brown and white offices the council then moved to adjourn when the reporter again refused to leave snyder led him by the arm out of the room the brown
