there will be an orchestra dance to-morrow evening march ist at 8 o'clock in drown memorial hall the subscription will be the same as usual 25 cents per person or 50 cents per couple refreshments will be served the arcadia the head of the honor system of lehigh univer sity at its last meeting passed a resolution for its resignation to the student-body and for the dissolu tion of the arcadia the resolu tion was presented to the student body at a college meeting this morning the chief reasons for the dissolution of the arcadia are said to be that the power of the arcadia is purely nominal and its decisions absolutely subsidiary making its existence a fraud and its efforts a waste of time to its members the resolution as adop ted and signed by the members follows : — whereas experience has proved especially within the present year that the jurisdiction of the arcadia to act as an honor court has been reduced to such narrow limits as to make any action of this body fu tile and void and whereas the time and labor spent by the honor court in inves tigating trying and sentencing ca ses brought before this body have proved futile in the eyes of the faculty in that a recent decision has been entirely overthrown be it resolved that we the mem bers of the arcadia after careful consideration and in the best inter ests of the student-body and lehigh university do hereby individually and collectively resign and tender our resignations to the student-body for their acceptance signed c r wylie jr h l rooney a b gorman v j pazzetti jr george c hill w g bell jr j l clarke henry d jay e e
