This work will temporarily inconvenience persons who use the north entrance to get to the Bookstore and Maginnes Hall. During this period, the north entrance doors and the ATM site will be closed. The service road Asa Drive from the loading dock to the circle will be barricaded Nov. 14-30. The east stairwell on the main floor of Maginnes will be used as the temporary main entrance to the bookstore. Please contact Mike King at 758-3375 should you have special needs requiring access to the elevator at the ground floor. For the Campus Community November 1,1994 New vice president named Rhonda I. Gross of the University of Pittsburgh has been named the new vice president for finance and administration. She is currently associate vice chancellor for budget and administration at Pitt. She will succeed John W. Woltjen, who has accepted the special retirement plan after 15 years at Lehigh. Her appointment, effective in early 1995, was announced by Pres. Peter Likins, who praised her qualifications in glowing terms. Rhonda I. Gross "She has demonstrated at Pitt her capacity to deal with complex issues requiring both a keen mind and a stout heart. She's proven herself to be a team player, and will be comfortable in the Lehigh environment." Gross also currently serves as vice president for finance and treasurer ofthe University of Pittsburgh Trust. She has served in roles of growing responsibility for 20 years at the university. Prior to her work at Pitt she was a senior accountant for Ernst and Ernst (now Ernst and Young) in Chicago and Pittsburgh. "I am elated to become a member of the management team at a university as prestigious and well respected as Lehigh," said Gross. "My family and I are looking forward to becoming active participants in the Lehigh Valley community." Likins thanked the hardworking vice presidential search committee, which was co-chaired by Roger D. Simon, professor and chairman of the history department, and Trustee Karen Stuckey, a partner in Price Waterhouse's New York office.
