keep their forwards from driving the ball into the net the orange and black players lacked teamwork their forward line being especially ineffective lehigb was not slow in taking advantage of this weakness and time after time broke through 1 . j w cooper starred for princeton scoring their goal while fernandez and human were le bigh's outstanding players near the end of the game fernandez was injured about the legs and after the game had to be taken to the dispen sary he will probably be lost to the team for the rest of the season lehigh will be severely handicapped by his absence in tbe army and na vy games this week princeton stalrted the game with a bang davis took the ball from the kick-off and passed to jewett who dribbled down the field and centered a shot perfectly brewer however caught the ball on the 6 yard line but was jostled by j w cooper and simons cooper got the ball in the mix-up and sent it into the net this bit of hard luck braced the lehigh booters and from then on they held the orange and black on the defensive walters forced a well-placed cdnner and af ter some exciting play goal-tender cooper cleared then fernandez took possession of the ball broke through the opponents defense and shot for a goal from the 18-yard line it was a hard drive but it hit the upright and bounced back continued on page three during the second half lehigh continued to keep possession of the ball most of the time and it seemed only a matter of minutes before they would score fetnandez was playing his usual brilliant game and again and again broke through the defense
