they were chosen last week and tapped for membership shortly before the ceremonies cox lives in new york and is a member of the delta sigma phi social fraternity he has played two years of varsity football one year of varsity baseball and bas ketball and received freshman numerals in these sports he re ceived freshman and sophomore honors the wilbur prize for fresh man english and the tau beta houseparty dorney park is site committee made efforts to sign shaw kyser for spring dance benny goodman and his or chestra will play at dorney park for the junior prom to be held the first night of spring houseparty weekend april 21 and 22 it was announced today in an attempt to obtain the best band available for the affair the prom committee decided on the allentown site because it provided better facilities for housing a single big-name orchestra albert collins bus 40 chairman of the prom committee announced that care will be taken to provide spe cial services to patrons of the dance good parking facilities extra provisions for checking and a soft drink bar will be available he said now on mid west tour the affair wil mark the first per formance of goodman at a lehigh dance the so-called king of swing whose clarinet playing has won him national recognition is at present on the road tour and is playing in leading mid-western cities this tour follows a success ful engagement
