before definite action is taken by that committee the second amendment gives arcadia the power to instruct stu dent committee members how to vote in effect these changes will bring the opinions of a larger group into the solutions of lehigh's most con troversial questions the standing committees that will be affected by the change are the board of publications the stu dent activities committee the stu dent clubs committee and the drown hall house committee proposed by heckman a third amendment provides that arcadia may refer problems to representative campus organiza tions to determine the sentiment of those groups their opinions will be taken into consideration by arcadia the changes accepted were pro posed by a special committee headed by henry t s heckman arts 39 among other business handled by arcadia was the allotment of 35 to repair two ping pong tables in drown hall and to provide for one new table it was also voted that 35 should be allotted for ventilating the drown hall three constitutional amendments that will centralize more power in the hands of student government the first stipulates that any member of a joint faculty-student committee will be empowered to refer a problem to arcadia before definite action is taken by that committee the second amendment gives arcadia the power to instruct stu dent committee members how to vote in effect these changes will bring the opinions of a larger group into the solutions of lehigh's most con troversial questions the standing committees that will be affected by the change are the board of publications the stu dent activities committee the stu dent clubs committee and the drown hall house committee proposed by heckman a third amendment provides that arcadia may refer problems to representative campus organiza tions to determine the sentiment of those groups their opinions will be taken into consideration by arcadia the changes accepted were pro posed by a special committee headed by henry t s heckman arts
