rob ins morgan director of placement out of the 226 seniors 160 have accepted offers from various bus iness or industrial concerns or are going to take graduate work in law and medicine in comparison with last year's placement there are 64 more men placed now than a year ago at the same time placement in the engineering cur ricula is more than 82 percent of the total number and the arts and business college totals are only slightly lower mining engineers were the first to secure 100 percent employment salaries higher the starting salaries are more than 10 percent higher than last year and average approximately 125 per month a greater number of firms con ducted interviews with seniors this year than in any year since the de pression stated mr morgan this together with the greater placement indicates that general business conditions are much bet ter and the outlook for the college graduate much brighter this year's employment almost doubles that of four years ago and in several killed and another seriously injured the students a sophomore and a junior were returning from a dance at sunnybrook park when the car in which they were riding swerved turned over several times struck a low wall and landed right side up in the road howard williams 29 of pottstown riding in the front seat died in pottstown hospital and mrs eunice delong wife of the driver suffered possible frac tures of the skull and back doctors at the pottstown hospital said she had a fair chance to recover the students thumbed a ride from the car near sunnybrook the auto a 1937 plymouth contained the driv er his wife and his brother-in-law in the front seat and three girls from ursinus in the back seat the car was going at about 70 miles per hour when another car drove out of a side road in front of it the plymouth swerved to avoid a collision turned over a num ber of times and struck the wall the car was badly damaged but the two students suffered only minor cuts harry e delong driver of the struck a low wall and landed right side up in the road howard williams 29 of pottstown riding in the front seat died in pottstown hospital and mrs eunice delong wife of the driver suffered possible frac tures of the skull and back doctors at the pottstown hospital said she had a fair chance to recover the students thumbed a ride from the car near sunnybrook the auto a 1937 plymouth contained the driv er his wife and his brother-in-law in the front seat and three girls from ursinus in the back seat the car was going at about 70 miles per hour when another car drove out of a side road in front of it the plymouth swerved to avoid a collision turned over a num ber of times and struck the wall the car was badly damaged but the two students suffered only minor cuts harry e delong driver of the
