just what you said you didn't want how about giving a synopsis of the plot boy in babeland concerns the difficulties of a college-bound hick homer bortz who comes from cherryville — of all places 1 on his way to school he meets tragic fate in a pullman berth also of all places the girl cynthia who is later to become the object of his assorted affections he takes a room at the home of his aunt's sister who is the wife of prof xerxes doolittle and the mother of doris — the other wench in homer's new life now professor doolittle is about to astound the world with his the ory of relative space living things he spends three hectic scenes with i his colleagues in his attic labora tory — and there we have counter plot sub-b-6 during all this the scene changes with absolutely no consideration ¦ for the stagehands from sunday ! ; school to pullman car to living o roora to laboratory to living room to kitchen to laboratory to ball room takes you through the first act the second involves barroom street corner living room laboratory and living room love interest did you say romancing in boy in babeland is just a bit complicated to begin with homer is that way about cynthia also to begin with doris has more-than-platonic interest in homer cynthia is unique — she doesn't love anybody ... at first but frank loves doris and she won't consider him because he's too risky marjories got a yen remember for frank but fred will do just as well then there's a guy called bertie who has ideas concerning marjorie and all i had to do was straighten out that mess in the final scene i'll bet you didn't yeah i'll give you even money i did in fact i'll give you 10 to 1 that it doesn't matter and while we're on the subject i'll give you any odds you want that i get plenty f sleep sunday the brown and white wanted something different on boy in babeland so the editor climbed the hills to drown hall where full rehearsal was in progress out in front was jim reed leading the stage orchestra and making last minute changes in his arrangements composer dave hughes dashed back and forth between audience and orchestra pit vowing that he would have nothing to do with the actual production suddenly drown hall was plunged into darkness electrician george brettell could be heard explaining troubles with the main fuses to director al rights stage mana ger john weigel wanted to know how his crew could be expected to shift scenes in the dark and prop erty man joe roberts complained about the apparent absence of vital gadgets the lights went on again and there was script writer jud schaeffer talking things over with ingenue ruth pazzetti yes jud said he'd write what the editor wanted — and here it is the editor says make it differ ent none of that stuff about thir the just what you said you didn't want how about giving a synopsis of the plot boy in babeland concerns the difficulties of a college-bound hick homer bortz who comes from cherryville — of all places 1 on his way to school he meets tragic fate in a pullman berth also of all places the girl cynthia who is later to become the object of his assorted affections he takes a room at the home of his aunt's sister who is the wife of prof xerxes doolittle and the mother of doris — the other wench in homer's new life now professor doolittle is about to astound the world with his the ory of relative space living things he spends three hectic scenes with i his colleagues in his attic labora tory — and there we have counter plot sub-b-6 during all this the scene changes with absolutely no consideration ¦ for the stagehands from sunday ! ; school to pullman car to living o roora to laboratory to living room to kitchen to laboratory to ball room takes you through the first act the second involves barroom street corner living room laboratory and living room love interest did you say romancing in boy in babeland is just a bit complicated to begin with homer is that way about cynthia also to begin with doris has more-than-platonic interest in homer cynthia is unique — she doesn't love anybody ... at first but frank loves doris and she won't consider him because he's too risky marjories got a yen remember for frank but fred will do just as well then there's a guy called bertie who has ideas concerning marjorie and all i had to do was straighten out that mess in the final scene i'll bet you didn't yeah i'll give you even money i did in fact i'll give you 10 to 1 that it doesn't matter and while we're on the subject i'll give you any odds you want that i get plenty f sleep sunday the brown and white wanted something different on boy in babeland so the editor climbed the hills to drown hall where full rehearsal was in progress out in front was jim reed leading the stage orchestra and making last minute changes in his arrangements composer dave hughes dashed back and forth between audience and orchestra pit vowing that he would have nothing to do with the actual production suddenly drown hall was plunged into darkness electrician george brettell could be heard explaining troubles with the main fuses to director al rights stage mana ger john weigel wanted to know how his crew could be expected to shift scenes in the dark and prop erty man joe roberts complained about the apparent absence of vital gadgets the lights went on again and there was script writer jud schaeffer talking things over with ingenue ruth pazzetti yes jud said he'd write what the editor wanted — and here it is the editor says make it differ ent none of that stuff about thir the
