event so i played a hunch i went up to the american mu seum of natural history on central park west entered the magnificent new roosevelt addition and found mrs akeley's office on the third floor all i knew about mrs akeley was that her husband carl akeley was until his death a foremost nat uralist the first scientist to study gorillas in their native habitat and that she had written a book carl akeley's africa which had sold through several editions and receiv ed a great deal of expert praise i told her that we were faced with an unfortunate cancellation and explained briefly what we were looking for mrs akeley exhibits slides mrs akeley's manner is very di rect here are some of my slides she said let's look at them and see whether they'd appeal to college students we looked at several committee in charge of charity tea dances that there will be no dances held by them this semester because of lack of support among fraternities and the general student body the last charity dance was
