attack evolved the lafayette mentor sat down to evolve a plan of attack that would completely bewilder his beth lehem rivals the result was a se ries of secret practices for three weeks before the game of an en tirely new system of attack from any used in those days the lines men instead of being bunched to gether were stung 10 yards apart on the offensive then by contin ually pulling an end back into the backfield and making a tackle elig ible to receive a pass lafayette opened up an aerial attack that completely unstrung the heavier slower lehigh team before lehigh was aware of what was happening lafayette had scored 19 points at the half two years later lehigh swamped lafayette 78-0 but actually there was little of a fair victory in it for lehigh it was during the war when the government had temporarily stationed training officers at the two schools most of lehigh's team was composed of these officers and few real students took part lehigh wins in 1929 in 1929 frenzied o'clock tomorrow afternoon on fisher field at easton in their an nual football contest it will mark the 68th consecutive meeting of the two teams the series started in 1884 and is the second oldest in the country lehigh's last victory against the maroon was in 1929 when the brown and white defeated the leo pards 13-12 this game is the only one that the engineers have won since the world war
