according tc e a teal director of counselling and placement of a graduation class of 227 there were 204 who registered with the placement bureau classified as active 158 graduates participated in 772 interviews offered by 58 firms which had sent representa tives to the campus these interviews ranged any where from 1 to 19 per student teal said that there is no limit to the number of interviews a stu dent may have as long as he is sincerely seeking an offer of the 204 registered 46 not having requested interviews 103 were placed either directly or in directly by the placement bureau besides actually being placed by the placement bureau students may obtain other services from teal and his staff a list of five were mentioned by teal 1 finding out where to apply for jobs 2 learning how to present oneself for interviews 3 learn ing how to make written applica tion for interviews 4 how to evaluate one's interests and abili ties in selecting a field of endeav or 5 results of interviews are interpreted and shortcomings of the student are pointed out these can then be corrected for future interviews teal said that approximately 20 company representatives 1 have been here this semester
