motion by suspendees upholding the decision monday of the discipline commit tee the lehigh university faculty voted against the return to lehigh of two juniors for their participa tion in setting afire the 52-foot christmas tree on the hill-to-hill bridge the blaze took place on the morning of jan 15 in ruling on an appeal by the two students paul desnoyers chem e 51 and henry gersten berger i.e 51 the faculty sus tained th c action of the committee in suspending the students for one semester a freshman john hadley arts 53 was placed on disciplinary pro bation for his part in the affair was in desperate trouble at least i three times before the fall occured the next match was a thriller with only ten seconds remaining george feuerbach reversed and slapped on a reverse grapevine to do away with former eastern champ bobby schell previous to the fall feuerbach had demon strated some of his best holds in cluding a few not in the book in running up a 11-3 edge on his op ponent heavily taped dick kelsey went nine furious minutes with captain stan mousetis of the diplomats only to have time run out and lose by the narrowest of margins 5-4 the famous mousetis leks did not come into play until midway in the second stanza when they were used to effect a reversal kelsey was leading 4-1 at this point but leg riding gave mousetis the necessary time advantage for the decision wrestling a carefuljy planned bout john mahoney added three more points to the fast growing lehigh total as he shutout bob wendell 3-0 following an action less first period in which wendell refused to lockup with mahoney the diplomat was completely bot tled up by a cross body ride with modifications the finish saw both men on their feet after mahoney came neutral early in the last peri od eric erikson went into the last period losing 1-0 one minute later he upset charlie cope's pain staking strategy by reversing and piling on another takedown for a 4-2 victory cope acted as if erik son were
