14th hundreds of alumni from the various classes are expected !< back for the occasion and keen \ competition is anticipated 1 for the i class of 91 reunion cup which is i presented each year to the class having the largest per cent of its members back for the annual class j reunions this year the classes j holding the reunions are the classes ! of 71 76 81 86 91 96 01 06.1 11 16 and 20 the class of 71 j is holding its fiftieth-year reunion the class of 76 its forty-fifth-year reunion and so on down to the i class of 20 with its first-year re ■union the commencement week pro ! game the contest therefore was [ unusual but probably will furnish i the rule in future years there was no questioning the su periority of the lehigh team in ! the first period the pennsylvania i players scored a goal it was made j by e wilson syracuse did not score in the second half lehigh j made two more points before the up-state collegians found the net | it is a question if syracuse would j have made any goal at all had it not been for an accident to parker goal of lehigh towards the end of the game he broke his foot and had to give way to whitney it was while the latter was in the game that syracuse shot her lone tally lehigh uncovered good teamwork and shot in a clever manner syra cuse on the other hand lacked the teamwork noted in the game of the winners the lehigh defense had no great difficulty in breaking up almost every advance on goal [. e wilson played a great game for the winners shooting two of the goals his dodging was good and his shooting decidedly beyond the college standard parker did well at goal until he had to retire ross lydecker and schmitt were the stars of the syracuse twelve the line-up : lehigh 3 syracuse 1 parker g ... macaloney enslin p frobisher a wilson ... c p schmitt maurer f d lowery bush s.d herkit jenness t d dickson bertolet c smith gonzales .... t a lydecker c strauch ... s a .. . a schmitt t e wilson . . f a corey muzdakis .... o h ross continued on page five lehigh's 1921 lacrosse team easily defeated the johns hopkins stickmeni twelve goals to two in the final league game of the season for the championship title of the south ern division may 28th on taylor field the blue and black defense weakened before the lehigh attack and the combat after the first few minutes of play became one-sided although both halves were filled with thrills that kept the brown and white rooters who filled the south stands at a high pitch of excite ment on the initial face-off gonzales received the ball and passed to strauch who immediately shot for a goal but his effort was blocked by the hopkins netman hopkins car ried the ball to lehigh's goal and on a second attempt sent the ball by parker for the initial score this lead was cut down a few min utes later when strauch after clev i er dodging got within striking dis | tamce and tied the score the bal i timore collegian retaliated and for several minutes kept the ball in the vicinity of lehigh's goal but strauch recovered the ball and af | ter a long run sent the ball to gon hzales who registered a beautiful | side-shot for lehigh's second score i the attempts of the blue and black stick-wielders to get another count er were rendered futile by parker i who scooped several well-directed ! shots out of danger both teams experienced difficulty : in breaking through the others de fense and the play centered around i the mid-field for several minutes j the aggressiveness of the brown ! and white players forced their op | ponents to yield and the lehigh at tack began their hammering at the visitors goal but without success !
