packard auditorium the meeting was presided over by gene sowers president of the class plaque assessment baccalaureate and commence ment tickets will be distributed to each man on identification in the arcadia office on monday and tuesday may 10 and 11 each man must pick up his own ticket ed mcclure announced that rehear sal for baccalaureate services will be held in packard auditorium thursday may 27 at 10:00 a.m the class voted to assess each member of the june and october groups 2.00 to cover the cost of a plaque to be erected in the chapel the collection date and place will be announced the deadline for measurement of caps and gowns is may 15 in the supply bureau a fourteen dollar cash deposit will be required when the caps and gowns are picked up dick bodine and al farans were named co-agents to keep the mem bers of the class in touch with one another following graduation the date of the class farewell party was set for june 11 at 8:00 pm in the colonnade it was revealed that the epitome will be distributed late this year due to printing troubles petitions due may 12 plans set for pictures of candidates for posts l.u students elect officers may 19th 20th class officer elections for the classes of 49 50 and 51 will be held this coming may 19 and 20 ballot boxes will be stationed at various points around the campus as they were in the arcadia elec tions all candidates for class offices will obtain their petitions at the arcadia office and will have them returned there by may 12 each petition must have twenty-five signatures and the names of the office and class also a candidate must not have been on probation the preceeding semester on may 12 there will be a meet ing at 4 15 pan in the arcadia room at that time there will be a group picture taken at no cost to the candidates to be entered in the friday brown and white plans also will be then arranged for in dividual pictures at the cost of one dolar each to be entered in the tuesday issue also series of foreign dinners at the amarian club in allentown last sunday this time it was an arabian din ner with all dishes exact dupli cates of ones which might be found in a typical arabian home it is doubtful whether any arabian home could have had as much to eat in one dinner as did the club members at this meal some of the dishes served were jege-mechi a chicken dish with rice and seed-of-pine filling wa tachannob rice and hamburger rolled in grape leaves yabrock a cabbage and hamburger com bination the dessert was bak lawa which was something like shredded wheat soaked in honey with a tasty filling of pistachio nuts by the time the dessert was served a good many of the guests were leery as to whether they would be able to finish it after tasting it however no one
