the brown and white vol 100 no 19 friday november 20 1992 lehigh university rumors of lafayette ticket boycott denied by thomas wolfe news editor contrary to rumors about a lafayette college boycott of tomorrow's game tickets were sold out as of wednesday according to lafayette's ticket office rumors probably stemmed from the fact that in previous years lafayette students were allowed into the game by showing their lafayette identification cards but this year all students must pay 10 to gain entrance karen whalen assistant athletic director at lafayette said none of the students have come down to say we're boycotting lafayette junior william berk said the various changes regarding lehigh-lafayette have caused a lot of lafayette tailgating used to take place on the stadium parking deck but will now be in a field approximately two miles from the stadium the parking deck is reserved for guest parking also no one will be allowed into the game after 1 1:30 a.m there are so many little aspects that make the game not fun anymore he said the restrictions as declared by both lehigh and lafayette state that any physical abuse fighting actions intended to hurt others destruction of property vandalism or behavior inciting others to violence may lead to the suspension of the students involved fall frolics every fall an abundance of leaves seems to cover a car outside the phi gamma mary olenick 95 secretary of the group olenick said sterling wants students to combine efforts and funds to do large projects before the meeting students from all the colleges participating met across the street from the allentown women's cen ter at 10:30 a.m and held feminist for life signs to let women know there are other alternatives olenick said the lehigh valley intercollegiate coa lition for life's upcoming project is to attend the march for life in washington d.c in january at lehigh there are approximately 40 people involved in the pro-life organiza tion lehigh for life senate provides funds to keep libraries open by erin byron news writer lehigh student senate announced tues day that it will provide money to avoid library budget cutbacks which threatened late-night library hours the senate alsodiscussed its role in lehigh lafayette weekend and two members of the crew team proposed that senate help fund the construction of a university boathouse ken hoexter 93 senate president said the senate will allocate $ 1 400 of the necessary 2,000 to keep the libraries open late fairchild-maitindale library will remain open until 2 a.m sunday through thursday linderman library will remain open until midnight both libraries will remain open fri day and saturday evenings until 10 p.m i'd like to thank students for helping me to raise a ruckus and keep the library open hoexter said in doing so i'd like to also thank berry richards director of library ser vices and al pense provost for their commit ment to students hoexter also addressed the upcoming le high-lafayette weekend and the friday night bonfire the bonfire and the buses transporting students to the murray h goodman campus field are sponsored by the senate buses will be running continuously from taylor gym from 5 p.m to 1 1 p.m the bonfire is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m hoexter also stressed the importance of responsible behavior this weekend if students wish for the traditional weekend to continue have fun but
